Today was interesting.
First, I got woken up at 945!!!! By the door bell... I couldn't believe the kids let me sleep that long. Then, I was surprised Addison slept that long...but who's at the door!? It was the lawn care man...asking for money. HAHA! Then I felt bad, I told him I was waiting on the contract and bill so I knew who to send the payment to. He looked shocked...you never got a bill? -No. You never got your contract? -No. O ok...I'm so sorry to bother you I will take care of that. I gave him a check...and deep down I was glad he rang the door because how long would the kids have allowed me to sleep...
I really am thankful they are letting me sleep, but I feel bad because I feel like I am wasting our last few days together before school starts.
I think these late night practices are what is keeping Addison in bed so long. Almost every day this week she is sleeping until 9 or after.
So I decided after that, that I would do the paint project with the kids. Something that could be fairly fun that they could do. It was stressful but apparently they LOVED it, and are looking for the perfect spot for their pictures. That makes all the frustration of trying to teach them how to do it go away. It was so worth it now to know that they enjoyed it so much.
Tomorrow is orientation!!! That means school is almost here! I am excited to meet the kids teachers! Christian is SO EXCITED! We are going to lunch before the orientation, I figured it is our last chance to go out before school...so we are going to Tijuana Flats then orientation. Pep Rally is tomorrow night too! That means last free weekend until we are swamped with football games! YAY!
So Christian jammed his fingers tonight, that was scary...I thought he broke his freaking fingers...I was trying to bend his fingers for him and his ring finger was not wanting to bend and then when I did get it bend, it wasn't bending straight. It was nasty. Coach was all freaked out. Christian had to sit out the first half of practice waiting on the swelling to go down.
But I did have a proud parent moment out there...they had him on the offensive line a little bit tonight paired up with a guy twice his size...no lie! Christian looked teeny tiny next to this kid. Well, not one time did Christian get knocked down or let that kid by him. Christian was pushing him all around...straight up man handled him! I was so proud. THEN...they had him at running back and...he got tackled for the first time...you know how that ended. HAHA! He was so upset...because he did not think it would hurt that bad and he didn't understand why more than one person had to jump on top of him... I just told him that's why he has on all those pads...to protect him. He was ok though just needed a minute.
OK...lots of pictures now :-) I love you and I wish you could be here with us!
