100 day of school

Welcome back train wreck mom. I did not miss you this past week.
Christian AND Lily had homework this weekend because tomorrow is the 100 day of school. Christian had to decorate a super hero cape with 100 of something. Lily just needed 100 snacks.
Well we all forgot until...tonight at 630. :-(
So Christian very quickly put 100 stickers on his cape, well his cape is vinyl so the stickers won't stick to his cape. PEACHY! So I had to glue all his stickers on his cape after I got everyone to bed. Then I had to get 100 of something snacks for Lily. Well she wanted 100 cheerios. Were you aware that 100 cheerios is really not that much? So she is also taking 100 marshmallows.

It finally happened...

Well...it finally happened. Someone got really hurt getting their fingers slammed in the doors. Thankfully, none of our children are the injured or the "injurers" (did I just make up a word?)
Apparently Riley and Christian were playing in Christian's room and Annabelle was trying to talk to them and Riley slammed her fingers in the door. It was bad...it was very bad! THE DOOR CLOSED! That's how bad it was. It makes my stomach hurt even thinking about it. Her fingers were bleeding and her nails are all purple. It.was.so.bad
But I felt better knowing none of ours did it to her. So I could just be concerned for her and not upset that my kids injured her.

So Lily is now a flyer. I can't put emojis on the blog. But if I could there would be a BIG concerned face! Scared face. Sad face. Then concerned face again.
She is so excited. She has been practicing the stunts at home and apparently the girl whose spot Lily stole wasn't doing well in her spot. So Lily told her coach that she had been practicing so they told them to switch and they said Lily nailed the stunt on the first shot. So she won the spot. CONCERNED FACE!
I liked my baby not being a flyer. I was perfectly happy with her being a base, or a spot. Apparently she got dropped on her face. She says it like it was no big deal...yea I wasn't tight and I fell and my face hit the mat.
WHAAAAAAA!?!? I like your face, please don't hurt it.

But we had a good day. They all stayed until 8 tonight. It was an exhausting day. But I think they all had fun. I think we are going to plan an adult sleep over. Well the kids will get a sleepover too. LOL. The only one I'm having an issue putting in a place is Chloe. I can't quite figure out where she can sleep. Unless she sleeps in Addison's room and I put Addison in our room with me. She is such a stinking cute kid...I just love her so much.

Ears...

We did it! She cried a little. I did not cry. She literally drew a crowd. Everyone and their dad stopped to watch the poor cute little ginger get tortured. There was NO ONE in the store when we go there. We stopped...looked at the earrings picked out the cutest most expensive pair they had...LOL...not on purpose I promise. By the time I got a bottle made in preparation for her tears, and got us all situated there was literally a crowd around our chair watching. I felt bad for her...everyone stopped to see the pretty little girl get her life shattered for a few minutes. She didn't cry as bad as I thought she would. The second ear was the worst. She was throwing her hands around. She was mad mad mad. But she looks so very pretty

I couldn't get her to hold still long enough to get a good picture.
This last one is my favorite. I am going to miss her so very much when I go back to work. :(
She fell asleep with her mouth all open and everything.

So we got the baseball stuff. Not as bad as I expected it to be. YAY!
they didn't have any of the original bats he wanted in his size, which was a little disappointing. Well they had the Mako. But when we got there Christian said he didn't want it anymore. Thank goodness.

So after that we went to dinner to celebrate greatness at school. Lily getting the first place for the science projects. Christian winning the most read books for the kindergartners. No matter what else happened this week...they had a great week. I call it a success. Then to top it off...I got so many compliments about how wonderful my children were while they were having dinner. Parenting win.
I think Lily is feeling attention starved when a couple stopped to tell me how wonderful they were THEN they saw the baby and they commented on her too. So Christian asked what they said and I told him they stopped to tell me how wonderful and beautiful y'all were. Lily says "you mean they stopped to say how beautiful Addison is". I said noooo they didn't even see the baby until they got here they stopped to comment on how great y'all are. I think I need some QT with my big girl. :(

They really were good. We all sat and talked like civilized people. There was a tiny baby in one of the slings at the table right across from us and when we were leaving Christian almost ran into the sling. I was like watch out watch out for the baby!!! They had one of the canopy covers over here. Christian looks at the man and says "is there a tiny baby in there?" The man says "yes she is in here." well she was so tiny you couldn't see her in the carrier. So Christian moves the canopy cover and sticks his head in there to see her. He says "O she is in there. She is so very tiny. Our baby was never that tiny. She is very cute" and then just walks away. No boundaries...he has no boundaries. LOL

So I put my application in tonight. YIKES! Chris text me while we were at dinner telling me the job opened up. Sooooo when I got home I put in my application. I am so very nervous! So I guess it won't be too much longer.

GUESS WHAT!

Well first...I have news. But here is how my mind works. Right now, my brain is so friend from the day I couldn't remember what I wanted to write to you about. UGH! I need to slow down.

ANYWAY! I heard from Chris again today! Matt officially got promoted today. WHAAAAAA!
So the ABM position should open next week. Chris is going to call me again when it is officially open so I can send my resume back in. Guess I should finish it. LOL. I am a procrastinator I know. But I am excited...but terrified. But excited and sad. I am just a big ball of emotions right now.
I am so so ready...then I look at Addison and realize how much I am going to miss our time together.

I have so much fun watching her eat. I swear skipping baby foods was the best decision ever. She has so much fun, and she will eat everything....EVERYTHING. Tonight she had asparagus and teriyaki chicken and she ate all of it. I'm sure some got slipped to Whiskey, but she ate most of it. 

 But feeding yourself comes with a price. But she doesn't seem to mind the bubble baths. She splashes and has a good time now. I have to put her in the sink most nights because she splashes so much the kitchen gets trashed so she can't sit in her bathtub often. The sink contains most of her chaos.

O and Lily won first prize in the contest for science projects. :-D
She was so excited! She worked really hard. She won a neat little pen and note pad.

Well....reality slapped me right in the face again tonight. O you think you're being a good mom...BAM here's a nice big dose of everything you've been over looking.

I can't even put it online. It is awful. I mean nothing is wrong but it is extremely disappointing. But we are handling it tomorrow.

I helped in the nursery tonight at church. It was fun. Much better than sitting in the car. Addison had fun, she got to play instead of sitting in the car with me. We may just start doing this on Wednesday's now.

So I played make up today. I got sucked into watching those youtube videos of those girls that are normal when they start their make up process and freaking models when they are done. (I could feel my brain cells dying listening to this girl talk. I honestly think they were killing themselves. Thinking "clearly she doesn't care about us anymore. listen to what she's watching") Anyway...I did not look like her when I was done...dammit. LOL. At least I still sound smart...sometimes. I didn't even look like the men that do their make up on those videos...drag queens do their make up better than I do. It makes me laugh and makes me sad all at the same time.
Anyway, so I figured I would take some pictures to show you. LOL. So Addison and I played with the camera before bed.

I laughed so hard when I looked back at it.

Anyway, so I also did before and after pictures. I can't tell a difference. Dammit. You're supposed to be able to notice a difference. What did I do wrong?! I am bad girl...I am convinced, I am horrible at doing female stuff. GRRRRR.

GO.TO.SLEEP!

Do you have any idea how hard it is to stay awake while you wait for an infant to fall asleep? So Addison went to bed early tonight, and I was thinking "Mom Win!"

Kitchen was clean, floors done, diapers washed. This is awesome I am getting to bed early....FALSE!
As soon as I sat down in bed she woke up. So I went and got her and she is all stuffy. So I sucked her nose out, which she hated, then she was awake. So she tortured the cat for a little while had a big bottle and still wouldn't fall asleep. So I figured since she was stuffy she could sleep in the rock n play. Because it will keep her at a slight angle and maybe make it easier for her to breath. So I just lay her down and end up stuck in the bed, in the dark, waiting for her to fall asleep. I am surprised I managed to stay awake. It was very hard.

But now I am exhausted. I had stuff to say too.
We had a pretty good day today though. Probably one of the best days we all have  had together in a while. It was nice. No one was really mean. Christian had a moment but he apologized.

The kids helped me cook. They enjoyed that. Well I let them season the chicken. We had a talk before they started about listening while helping in the kitchen and being careful with raw meat. Well Christian is still a little short for the counter. So he is standing on his tip toes seasoning the chicken and his arm touched. Well we had just talked about cross contamination and how I didn't want them touching raw meat. You would have thought his arm was going to rot off when it touched that piece of chicken. It was so funny.

Lost

Of all the purchases I've ever made I have probably spent the most on bobby pins. Yet I never have any when I need them. I don't know where they go. I always buy bobby pins, but never have any when I need them.
So this week is literacy week at school, they are doing theme days all week long. So tomorrow is crazy hair day. Well train wreck mom didn't go to the store I was going to buy color to make Christian hair fun colors. Well that didn't happen. So, since it is so long we are going to put his hair in pony tails all over. Hopefully he likes it. Lily is getting Minnie Ears. Let's pray no one over sleeps...these things take time.

 See! Minnie Ears. Lucky for Lily Addison has a million and one bows that will be perfect to put on her ears. But...no bobby pins to hold her ears down. So I am using barrettes. Hopefully they hold and her hair doesn't fall. that would be sad But knowing Lily, they will fall.

So train wreck mom is gone, hopefully for a while. I got a lot done today. Not quite sure what came over me. A lot done in a short time frame too. Floors vacuumed (which I do every night anyway), kitchen clean, laundry washed, diapers washed, animals fed, kid's bathroom cleaned (BARF!), and all the garbage is ready to go out in the morning, o and lunches are prepped for tomorrow too.
We also got 90% of Lily's science project done. Instead of pictures to put on her board she decided she wanted to use actual items. Which I think it pretty cool.

So here is Lily's science project.
We still have to get 2 balloons. One with helium for a type of gas and the other will have air in it.
I had to mutilate the lighter though, I was scared she would get in trouble for taking a lighter to school. So I took the flint and everything out of it. She still might get in trouble for bringing a lighter to school but I hope not.
Do you realize just how many lighters you have? For someone who doesn't smoke you have quite a collection of lighters. Including the one we used I think we found like 8.

 She does not like wearing her jacket. She looks so stinking cute in it but she hates it.

They just lay there and stare at each other. They love each other.

Ok, going to bed so we can get up early and do everyone's hair. Good night.
