So I let the kids pick out presents for their teachers. Do you have any idea of how hard it is to wrap snow globes? They are so ugly, it makes me sad. But I am sure the kids will think they are gorgeous and not care.
I have some snacks I am making to take to the kids class too. Luckily I finally chose stuff that is fairly easy to make.
Hopefully they don't suck.
So the kids started their devotionals tonight. It was good. It was actually a lot of fun. They wrote some good things. Lily's day one could not have been more perfect for her. Hopefully we can keep on this trend. The kids really seemed to enjoy it.
Not too much more to report today. Today was uneventful.

Beat down
O.M.G! I am going to start with this...
So Lily got in trouble for lying...again! Over something stupid. Anyway, so I told her that she was going to get a spanking for lying and to go get a spoon (side note: my intentions were not to actually spank her with the spoon...more tap her. I just wanted her to be scared.) so she yells NO at me that she is not going to get a spoon. So I more firmly tell her to go get a spoon now. Now she is jumping around screaming no that she is not going to get one and she is not getting a spanking. So, she finally goes and gets a spoon. I tell her to turn around...she tells me no...lily turn around now...she backs away and tells me no. I tell her to come over here and turn around because if she makes me come get her she is in BIG trouble...she starts to run away from me...so I go after her, I grab her arm...she turns around and slaps me. She slapped me! OMG! My kid just slapped me. I lost my head...completely...I was completely out of my mind. I picked her up while she screamed like she was being murdered. I threw her on the bed and I was over top of her nose to nose and I told her "if you are EVER bold enough to put your hands on me again I beat your ass so bad you will think you got your ass kicked by a man"
Yes...I am a terrible mother :(
I feel horrible now but I cannot believe she slapped me. I ended up having to tell her dad because of course she got on the phone with him and played the wounded lily card. UGH...what a horrible way to end the day...over a lie...a stupid lie at that.
OK, on to happier items. We went to the church Christmas musical tonight. So since we were doing that and wouldn't be home I decided we would do fatty fat fat sonic tonight. We went to Sonic for dinner, and we are sitting there waiting for our food with the windows down. This huge brown thing goes flying across my windshield (on the inside). Want to know how fast I will abandon my children? I scream OMG its a bug and jump out and leave them all sitting there strapped into their seats. (I am full of bad mom stories tonight) Anyway at closer examination, it was not a bug. Lily gave me a flower and I sat it on my dashboard and it dried. The wind blew the dry flower across my dashboard. Boy was I embarrassed when I had to get back in the car and assure them it wasn't really a bug but a dried flower.
But the Christmas musical was nice. Only in middleburg can you go to a Christmas musical that has actual livestock in the church building. There were goats...they were so cute. The tiny one kept chewing on his lead, I was waiting for him to chew through his rope and make a break for it. They tried to do a live feed for the show, but apparently a transformer blew outside and we lost all audio and most of the lights. It was still good though even if the microphones didn't work.
So the kids came home to a nice surprise from "Willie/Santa"
They had these on sale. I was going to save them for Christmas...but...I didn't. They are excited about them though, so hopefully at night we are going to read from their books then talk about what they can write for their daily devotion.

This was supposed to be a Christmas present but apparently I am not going to get their Christmas outfits anytime soon. So she got this now.

Kindergarten field trip
Today was the longest.day.ever! It was a lot of fun though. There were so many chaperons, that each parent only had 2 kids. That was a huge relief for me. So I had Christian and his little friend Adrian. It's funny how you can just make your own impression of a person before you really meet them. Christian loves Adrian...he is a really good friend of his. But ever since he started hanging out with him he has been coming home and telling me all these things his friend teaches him, which I didn't like. So I just assumed this little boy was a little thug, just an evil heathen child. No. Definitely not. He is a sweet, quiet, shy little boy.
But basically Christian and Adrian think it's cool to get together and use swear words. Christian almost got a referral yesterday. His teacher didn't send a note home or anything...I had no idea. It was Christian that told me about it. He said "you can't be mad at me because I am telling you. But I got in trouble at school yesterday for saying bad words on the playground with Adrian" CHRISTIAN MICHAEL! "you can't be mad remember...I'm telling you" ok...I am still mad though. What did you say "Adrian called me a son of a bitch so I told him...na uh, you're a son of a bitch"
OMG! What am I going to do with this kid?!
Then Lily...so I walk in the bathroom this morning because we all get ready together (teeth, hair, etc) so I walk in the bathroom and her face ALL AROUND her mouth is red. OMG Lily what is wrong with your face "I don't know! I woke up like this (sounding all panicked)" WHAT!? What is wrong with your face? "I don't know! It's all red" Lily...what is on your face? "IDK" It looks like lipstick. "NO!" Is that lipstick on your face "NOOOOO!" Lillian...that's lipstick isn't it. She hangs her head "It's not lipstick! IDK what it is. I woke up like this" Stop lying to me. "ok...it's lipstick" why did you lie? "because I didn't want to get in trouble" o yea? how'd that work out for you? "it didn't"
It has been like that all week. I have one that just openly tells me he is calling people bitches on the playground and one that lies about putting on lipstick. UGH...kids. They need to learn which stuff to hide and which stuff is not a big deal. I mean I would rather them not hide anything...but if something was hidden from me this morning I would rather it have been the swearing.
But Lily's appointment for her foot is Friday the 18th. Hopefully she won't have to take it easy as long as the Dr. says because I was talking to mom about it tonight she won't get to use her skateboard on Christmas. So basically she is getting a gift she cannot use...well cannot use for a few weeks. But still that will make her sad.
But I am going to go to bed. I love you and miss you so much! Goodnight.

Dr's appointments
Well...Lily's doctors appointment went exactly how I thought it would. She has a wort on the bottom of her foot...yuck. She has to have it taken off...how I don't know. But it has to be removed. Her doctor said she won't be able to do dance or cheer for a couple weeks. Her doctor might as well have chopped her leg off right there. She was devastated. But we are trying to plan it on Christmas break so she won't have to miss that many practices.
Then when we left they weighed Addison and in one week she has gained over a pound. She is now 13.9 lbs. Crazy right? In one week.
One thing that gets stressful around this time is having to get gifts for classmates. So in both their classes they have to bring in little stocking stuffers for all the kids. So that is 20 toys x2. UGH!
But it worked out. They both got the same exact thing for their classes from the dollar spot in target. So they got something pretty cool for a reasonable price.

Too many kids...
I may have changed my mind about teaching. Now don't get me wrong I had a blast in Lily's class....but then I was asked to sub in Awanas at church tonight. I think I have had my fill of young children for at least the rest of the week. Awanas is nuts...kids running around everywhere...it was loud, and stressful. But most of the kids were really sweet, and I would do it again if I was asked.
So I talked to the military counselor at the school today because she always seems to find me when I am at the school. But I told her I was going to look into a counselor for Christian...well she then pointed out that, that is what she is there for. I wasn't aware of that. So anyway, apparently she is a support counselor for military kids. But she is going to start a one-on-one counseling session with Christian. Hopefully that helps, she said if not she can give me a referral for him to see someone else, but she had some great ideas of things she was going to do with him. So fingers crossed it makes him feel better.
So much for going to bed early tonight. I tried to pick up some tonight. I wasn't home at all during the day today so I am exhausted and absolutely nothing got done around the house. I have so much laundry to put away it is ridiculous...all folded...it just needs a home.
O.M.G! So I totally feel violated...and I called the sheriffs office but they didn't seem concerned. Ok so let me give you some background...and I may be completely over exaggerating the situation. But I had to 2 boxes delivered. One yesterday with the kids skateboards, and one today with the clothes from your mom. One box was UPS, the other was USPS. Both boxes were opened by the time I took them off the entryway, and not on the top where they were taped. Both were cut on the side in an inconspicuous spot with a knife or something. Nothing was taken...because honestly it was nothing of value. But I was told I needed to call UPS and file a complaint AND USPS. I just find it hard to believe that coincidentally 2 boxes, delivered on 2 different days, by 2 different companies would both be cut open...just seems weird. But the dispatcher and the officer I talked to both said the same thing. I just need to make sure I am home when boxes are delivered from now until Christmas. I don't think I have anything else out there.

kids...
So we all actually had a pretty good day.
I have started putting them to bed earlier too. One more reason I love day light savings time. I can put them to bed at 730 and they don't question it because it is dark. Parenting win! I am going to bed super early tonight...I am just so exhausted lately. I don't know why, but I've got to fix it. So I am going to bed by 10 tonight.
So when we were having dinner tonight. I think I have created a little monster. Christian was cleaning off the table and he carries some dishes into the kitchen...now keep in mind the kitchen gets cleaned everyday. There are not that many dirty dishes in there. Just stuff from dinner. So he goes in there to put the dirty dishes in the sink and he goes "UGH...do you think you wanna wash some of these dishes and clean?!" In a very disgusted tone. I didn't even acknowledge his statement, but clearly he gets that from me. Lol.
OH! So remember A MONTH AGO when I ordered the girl's outfits to do pictures in, and they never came in. So I contacted the boutique owner to ask about them. Get this, her response said that when they have a sale they don't mail any of the packages until the sale is over. Sales typically last 2 weeks. Plus 2-6 weeks to fill the order, so your order could take up to 8 weeks to receive, usually they get out faster but that is our timeline.
W...T...F! Are you serious?! However, if I ordered outfits for a holiday and they don't come in by the holiday you will get a refund. I am so very upset! I don't care about a refund...I wanted the outfits in a timely manner...giving me my money back will not fix that I ordered these outfits in plenty of time. So that was irritating. But...what can you do?

Early bedtime
So I am definitely going to bed early tonight. No more staying up late for me. I have no idea when things will get done, but I'll figure it out.
Lillian had another rough day. I don't know what to do with her. She is so spiteful and ugly. I just don't get why she has to be so mean all the time. Over silly stuff. I just don't know what to do with her aside from locking her in her room until she is 30. The movie portrays Rapunzel as a sweet, nieve woman...maybe that will work for Lillian?
