Today went really well. The second team forfeited so we technically only played one game but we also technically left that tournament undefeated. Christian got a really good hit. It is so weird how they have the leagues split up. So he is machine pitch every other game. But for the advanced team it is coach pitch and your last pitch is off the tee. WHAT!?! Anyway, so he got an amazing hit off the coach. Lead off hitter, first pitch...over the center fielder's head. It was great! The rest of his hits were off the tee, he fouled a few off but no more like that first one.
The team he plays with for advanced they are amazing. It is unreal. Those kids are good. Christian plays the outfield, which honestly I think will be good for him because he can play every other position except outfield. I think he genuinely had fun today. They are ordering uniforms apparently this week. I think we have another tournament this coming Sunday.
Thank goodness I can get the church sermons on podcast. I thought I was going to be able to go to the service but then Kenzie spit up all over me. All over me. It was nasty. So I went home so I could change.
So tomorrow is the day. I am not excited and I am not sad. We'll see how I feel tomorrow. I am worried about leaving the kids for the whole day, especially Addison. We haven't been away from each other like this before. I am really nervous about that.
But I have everything all put together and ready to go. Everything except the kids' sandwiches are made. Their clothes are laid out. All I have to do is shower and do my hair. Then I am ready for tomorrow.
So I am going to go get that done so I can get to bed early. Have a good day, because I am going to assume I won't talk to you tomorrow.
I love you! Good night
Excuse our bed head, but we love some blackberries. She fed all her pancakes to the dog but wouldn't share her blackberries.
Snapped right before his hit.
This is what it looks like when you play baseball while you're getting over the flu. The second game may have forfeited but our guys stayed out to practice. That extra time hit him hard.
