day 1

Well day 1 was uneventful. We had a meeting with the executives this afternoon and it really made me feel bad for the kid that is training with me. Everyone came in basically "O we are so excited you are back. Lakewood really needs you. It's going to be so great with you back. How's the kids? How's the baby?......o, hi? who are you?"

But then he got even with me. He had questions about everything...everything! Can you really be that interested in the CU's marketing strategy....shush...I want to go home. I am not sure what we are doing tomorrow, but they said we should get to leave early tomorrow too. I hope so. I still have a million tests to do. My eyes were starting cross today. I do not remember that many tests. BLEH.

I am liking this prepping the night before though...all the lunch stuff and snacks are packed. I got everyone in bed again before 8. WHAAAAAAA!!!!!
That will change for the rest of the week though because we have practice tues,thurs,fri...and then church on wednesday. Those are all late days.

Addison did well with mom. She said their day was good. She wasn't upset when I left and she wasn't real happy when I got home. She was a little clingy but nothing like I expected. Which I guess is a good thing.

Alright well have a good day. I missed getting to talk to you today. I love you
Good night.

double header

Today went really well. The second team forfeited so we technically only played one game but we also technically left that tournament undefeated. Christian got a really good hit. It is so weird how they have the leagues split up. So he is machine pitch every other game. But for the advanced team it is coach pitch and your last pitch is off the tee. WHAT!?! Anyway, so he got an amazing hit off the coach. Lead off hitter, first pitch...over the center fielder's head. It was great! The rest of his hits were off the tee, he fouled a few off but no more like that first one.
The team he plays with for advanced they are amazing. It is unreal. Those kids are good. Christian plays the outfield, which honestly I think will be good for him because he can play every other position except outfield. I think he genuinely had fun today. They are ordering uniforms apparently this week. I think we have another tournament this coming Sunday.
Thank goodness I can get the church sermons on podcast. I thought I was going to be able to go to the service but then Kenzie spit up all over me. All over me. It was nasty. So I went home so I could change.

So tomorrow is the day. I am not excited and I am not sad. We'll see how I feel tomorrow. I am worried about leaving the kids for the whole day, especially Addison. We haven't been away from each other like this before. I am really nervous about that.
But I have everything all put together and ready to go. Everything except the kids' sandwiches are made. Their clothes are laid out. All I have to do is shower and do my hair. Then I am ready for tomorrow.

So I am going to go get that done so I can get to bed early. Have a good day, because I am going to assume I won't talk to you tomorrow.
I love you! Good night
Excuse our bed head, but we love some blackberries. She fed all her pancakes to the dog but wouldn't share her blackberries.
 Snapped right before his hit.
This is what it looks like when you play baseball while you're getting over the flu. The second game may have forfeited but our guys stayed out to practice. That extra time hit him hard.

last night

Well tonight is my last free night before going back to work. Know what I did? Nothing...absolutely nothing. I swept the floors. LOL.
I did not get the room organized like I wanted to. O well. I will just have to make time for it later.

So today's game was good. I am glad I went. We ended up in a tie. Which is awesome considering we were down 4 runs most of the game. We had one kid hit a home run and score 1 then in the bottom of the last inning we scored 3 to tie it up. But we ran out of time so we had to end it in a tie. Better than a loss I guess.
I also learned that Christian has a double header tomorrow at Argyle. Luckily...I was told he will be there tomorrow. But, um, what do they wear? This team is made up of 5 different teams. Do we just wear game uniforms?

Not much else to talk about tonight. I have to just try and get everything ready for Monday tomorrow. Now I am starting to get nervous. I am sure everything will be fine but what if the house isn't put together the way I want it.

Alright well I hope you have a good day. I love you! Good night

flu day 2

O.M.G!

I hate this huge, long post typed out for you and somehow managed to delete it all.

So you will just have to wait until you talk to me today! I cannot believe I did that.
 Ugh!

I will pick up where I left off.

Addison actually crawled from the living room through the dining room into the kitchen through the front room to her bedroom when I was cleaning it tonight. It was amazing. I mean I know she can crawl and it isn't that amazing. But that is a long way for her to navigate and not get frustrated and start crying.

Well I hope you have a good day. Sorry I ruined this post, and deleted most of it :(
I love you!
Good night.

Flu

Well everyone is on Tamiflu...except me. I think I am just going to boycott that nonsense! The kids say it is awful and disgusting. Christian only has to take it for 5 days...Lily has to take it for 10 days. LOL. Christian got her good on that one.

So I got the word tonight that Christian DID make the advanced team! I am so happy, you would think I made the advanced team. LOL. Of course he will be missing the first practice...or at least he should miss the first practice. I will leave that up to his father. I told his coach that I think technically he is still contagious until Saturday. Personally I would rather him rest tomorrow and be able to play Saturday. But I also know Christian will want to go out there if he knows he has practice tomorrow. He was upset he missed it tonight and he slept all afternoon. I feel so bad for him. He is always sick but I couldn't tell you the last time he was THIS sick. He hardly ate anything today. He had half a sandwich a few snacky things today. No dinner, nothing. He said everything tastes funny. Could that be from his fever? Hope so because I told him it was.

I have to take him and Addison with me tomorrow morning to get my drug test done for work. The lab in OP only has a small window that they do them. So I have to take them in the morning with me. I am sure the people in the lab will be pissed about that, but what am I supposed to do. I can't leave them home alone, and I am not leaving them in the car again. We've had enough of that for one week. Then I also have to take him to get him a cup for baseball. Ugh! I keep forgetting about that.

Thank goodness for Lysol and essential oils. I have to disinfect the entire house. Poor Addison and Christian were having withdrawals from each other by the end of the day. I wouldn't let them near each other. They couldn't snuggle or play. They were both freaking out. Every time she could get within eye sight of him she would scream out to him and be reaching her arms towards him "MAH BUBBA!!!" I ended up having to put everyone to bed early she was so fussy because she wanted him so bad. There was no way to soothe her without giving her to her brother.

Well I hope you have a great day! I love you so much! I cannot wait until you are home! Good night

Awanas

So, everything was going fine. The kids irritated me so I was giving the cold shoulder LOL. I call it a sanity break. I don't know why I bothered buying Lily new shoes...when she still insists on wearing the ones with holes in them. GRRR

Anyway, so I wasn't talking to them for a few minutes. So we went through dinner silently. They were good. They were actually awesome. I should ignore them more often. LOL.

So then we get into the church and they go. I go sit in the nursery. Kelly comes and gets me "Christian is throwing up...like bad....come quick"
WHAT!? He was just fine.
So I run up there. I mean I literally run up the stairs. He is sitting on the yucky bathroom floor, eyes all watery "I frew up mommy"
UHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! :(

So we all go home. Now he has a fever. Well I guess at least it happened BEFORE I went back to work. But jeez....who gets sick while they are taking antibiotics!? Apparently Christian. How is that possible...aren't antibiotics supposed to make you better? How do you get sick while taking them? Maybe it was something he ate, maybe he'll be ok in the morning. Hopefully. But probably not, he's in our bed right now. Poor thing.
Lily nor Christian have ever thrown up before...this is a first. Poor guy.
So we are hoping for no sick babies tomorrow...I really don't want my babies to be sick, and I was really looking forward to going to the gym.

Alright well I hope you have a good day. I love you! Good night.

Success

Well week 1 of 2 practices in one day I call a success. I was able to get everyone fed, homework done, grand prix cars painted and decorated, and everyone where they needed to be on time. I call that a success.

Poor Christian is having such a hard time batting. I am trying to leave him alone but he is getting conflicting information all over. His coaches tell him one thing, his dad tells him another. He is so confused. His dad is being an awful bleachers coach and it is starting to irritate me. I will have to tell you on the phone what all happened. But I am also in a really bad mood this evening. So maybe I should just sleep on how I am feeling.

I am in one of those moods where I should be in a cage on display somewhere. I am dangerous. LOL.I just don't need to talk to anybody. If I am in a mood like this tomorrow I don't think I am going to go work in the school. It's bad.

So the sippy cup for Addison is working out great now. She is back up to 3 8oz drinks a day. I am hoping to squeeze a 4th one in there. But the past few days she has cut out her bedtime "drink". She did tonight too...she just went right to bed. But the sippy cup is working so well. She is drinking from them so good. Much better than trying to force feed her a bottle.

Well I hope you have a great day. I love you! Good night
